Nine Petals brings a personal story of resilience to life with Turn It Up Now! Hey Hey.., a spirited single built around movement, memory, and rediscovering confidence. Based in Miami, the artist draws from reggae rhythms and Latin influences, creating a sound that feels naturally suited to dancing while carrying a deeper emotional message.
What makes the track especially intriguing is the unconventional way it came together. The idea began with a melody inspired by a dream, then developed inside a small downtown Miami apartment studio. Nine Petals experimented with singing bowls, bells, wind chimes, humming, and individual notes, paying close attention not only to how sounds felt but also to the visual patterns they produced as waveforms.
That artistic approach gives the project an intimate, handcrafted quality. After initially seeking outside vocalists, Nine Petals ultimately incorporated AI vocals during the mixing process, helping complete the vision independently.
At its heart, Turn It Up Now! Hey Hey.. is about reclaiming a voice after being made to feel insignificant. Its upbeat energy carries a message of self-belief, while its nostalgic character invites listeners to reconnect with joyful memories and embrace their own identity.
