Cyberswamp’s album, Mi Amada & Other Love Songs, is the result of an unusually long musical journey, with Sacramento songwriter Robert Radcliff shaping material that began taking form decades ago. What started as a daily songwriting exercise evolved into a sprawling recording project, eventually revived and expanded with help from his son Nic.
The thirteen-track album draws from several musical worlds, combining Latin American rhythms, rock, r&b, guitar-driven songwriting, and modern electronic textures. Mi Amada appears to sit at the heart of that approach, pairing Brazilian-inspired guitar ideas with warm percussion and synthetic layers that create a distinctly tropical atmosphere. The song’s romantic focus gives the production an emotional center without losing its rhythmic character.

Elsewhere, the album carries a more reflective and socially conscious edge. You Can’t Handle The Truth emerged from Radcliff’s response to the January 6 attack in USA’s capital, while World We Never Made preserves an early collaboration with bassist Sato from the project’s beginnings.
Recorded largely at Sacramento’s EME Recording Studio across roughly two decades, the album feels like an archival journey transformed into a contemporary production. Its history is inseparable from its sound, making Mi Amada & Other Love Songs an ambitious document of persistence, collaboration, and musical reinvention.
