Erick Oscar Rivera’s Hold The Light is a heartfelt eleven-track collection shaped by love, resilience, and personal experience. The title track stands at its emotional center, pairing acoustic guitar, piano, earnest vocals, and a soulful gospel-inspired choir to create a message of hope amid uncertainty and suffering. Written with his wife’s struggles in mind, the song encourages perseverance when answers seem distant.
In the album, Rivera explores romance, hardship, reflection, and renewal without confining himself to one musical style. His Panamanian roots, life in the United States, and extensive travels throughout Latin America inform a broad palette influenced by ballads, country, Latin rhythms, and more. Sung in English and Spanish, the album emphasizes sincerity, meaningful lyrics, and music designed to connect deeply.
