Vidura Barrios’ CHANT! explores Sanskrit devotional music through a balance of rhythmic energy and deep introspection. Released by Inner Splendor Media, the album draws on Barrios’ long engagement with meditation and Indian spiritual traditions, creating music that can function as both focused listening and a companion for contemplative practice.
The record shifts between lively kirtan-inspired pieces and quieter, spacious compositions. Songs including Govinda Gopala and Rama Raghava emphasize percussion, repetition and spirited vocal performances, capturing the celebratory side of communal chanting. Elsewhere, Krishna Invocation and 108 Names of Vishnu adopt a more restrained approach, allowing voices, instrumentation and recurring phrases to create an atmosphere of calm.

What makes CHANT! particularly cohesive is its interest in the connection between movement and stillness. Rather than separating devotional expression from meditation, Barrios treats them as complementary routes toward concentration and inner awareness.
As the founder of Inner Splendor Media, established in 2006, Barrios has spent nearly two decades developing music for meditation, relaxation and spiritual exploration. CHANT! continues that mission while offering newcomers an accessible introduction to the reflective and joyful possibilities of Sanskrit chant.
