Carlos Grassot’s Farewell The World is a thoughtful four-track EP that turns the songwriter’s attention outward, confronting the frustrations, divisions, and pressures of modern life.
Following his earlier release Farewell The Child, which focused on personal development and coming of age, this second chapter expands the perspective toward society and the wider world.
The EP opens with Wasting Songs, a tense statement of disillusionment that nevertheless carries a spark of resistance. We Won’t Be There For You shifts toward collective action, addressing corporate power and encouraging people to stand together.

The Wild provides the record’s most dramatic moment, using an expansive arrangement to personify the forces Grassot believes are damaging society. Away On The Road closes the project on a quieter note, embracing withdrawal, simplicity, and the possibility of finding peace away from modern pressures.
Recorded at Crosstown Studios in Liverpool, the release combines acoustic songwriting with rock, orchestral, and rhythm-driven elements. Grassot handles vocals, acoustic guitar, and songwriting, supported by a talented ensemble of musicians. Farewell The World is another step toward his planned 16-track conceptual album, The Child And The World.
